The surprisingly clean bold flavour hit home, stopping me dead in my tracks. My friend slowly turned and smiled at me knowingly. In a flash of sense memory, I was once again, the tiny tot beaming with bright eyes at the shiny multi-colored delights lovingly cupped in the palm of my grandmother's hand. The promise of forbidden pleasure! I just stood there, almost dumbfounded. The candy was so good and the experience so vividly reminiscent of a time almost forgotten; a less complicated, less worried, less hurried time of youthful innocence and simple pleasures, a time of unbridled imagination, enthusiasm, and the absolute belief that all things are possible.

My old friend's name is Choppy, and he had just given me the best darn candy I had ever tasted. So good in fact that I decided right then and there that a candy this good must be shared with as many people as possible. I bounced out of semi-retirement from the Communications industry with the feverish passion of an excited child stripping off a candy wrapper and founded Bonbons Choppy.
